All kinds of mail

Got some nice mail to share.

I am a big fan of Cardcaptor Sakura,
and when I saw these cards from my favorite characters,
I had to have them.

The sender put some extra decoration on the backs, I just love it.

This beautiful mini sheet from China was on the envelope.
Any information about this mini sheet is welcome.

I received this card from a friend who went on vacation to Japan.

I love that Japan issues a stamp for
the International Letter Writing Week
every year. This one is from 2017.

 This postcard arrived via swap-bot.
It was a mail art swap with a theme,
can you guess which one?

A while ago I read something about youvegotmail.club
on another blog (I am sorry I don't remeber which one).
And I decided to take a look, as I am always curious
to try new snail mail related things.
It is a bit like Postcrossing, but you send envelopes instead.
I sent a "surprise" to Italy and got one from Sweden in return.
The photos don't do it justice, there was so much in the envelope!
I guess this is fun to do once in a while.

Let's visit some countries...

We will start in

Denmark, Copenhagen

Next stop, Hallstatt, Austria

We already have map for Milton Keynes, UK

München, Germany

This is the Palace of the Parliament, Romania

When possible, go to a Postcrossing meeting
while travelling! Like this one in the Netherlands!

Or this one on the border of the Netherlands and Germany

We will end with a tour around the States
The bear guides us to California.

More specifically to Venice Beach.

Do you know The Magic House in Missouri?

A quick stop in Sun City West, Arizona

Hello Texas!

Say goodbye to The White House in Washington D.C.

It's been a while, I still get mail though!

I have been neglecting this blog, shame on me!
Now lets update

Another chunk o' cardboard

do the glitter justice, it looks really good!

Lucky me! A new language swap from Spain
Two languages this time, as the sender also included
some Catalan

Europa 2015
"Old fashioned Toys"
a Scot Pine scented self adhesive stamp featuring a wooden toy train.

Stamps sent from Indonesia
The tea was an extra, I gave it to my mom to try.

Lots of cards!

This postcard came from a sweet friend of mine in the US
The card shows a two year old Pawnee - Otoe Indian dancer

Yes! I participated in the "chunk o' cardboard" swap
from Swap-bot again. This chunk came from the US,
I "met" the sender a few times already, and I am sure
we'll meet again.

Some of the stickers, tape and stamps he used at the back

Lots of stamps!

This lovely letter came from my pen-friend
Kasia, here in Belgium.
She wrote part of her letter on the cat cards!

I got two postcrossing meeting cards from the Netherlands
this week, the first is this great Jetoy

the second a wonderful and so out of season
Keep calm card (Belgium is melting right now).

Look at this cute priority sticker!

Can you believe this is a Kleenex box?
I received it as part of the "Chunk o Cardboard" June swap
from Swap-bot. I received two of the chunks now.

Lots of Chinese and a bit of English

I participated in a free/ad postcard swap on Swap-bot
and I got this card from the USA
I think it looks a bit creepy, but I am going to look for
another swap like this.

Two Chinese envelopes also fell in my mailbox today,
as part of my language swap. Why accept Chinese twice then?
Because the first comes from Hong Kong

and the second from Taiwan

So I believe there are enough differences between the two places
to accept Chinese twice (and if I am not mistaken, more Chinese mail is on the way, haha)

The first came from the UK

 The second from the USA

I also swapped on facebook, these postcards arrived,
finally, after going mia,
in a dirty envelope and all four are creased...
thank you postal system?
From the USA

And today I got this letter from Canada
from one of my sweet pen-friends
