Swaps and meeting cards

I am more into swapping postcards than sending them
through the official Postcrossing system lately,
and I seem to have a bit of a theme going on.
Can you guess what it is?

Isn't this a cutie?

 Beautiful, traditional Chinese themes

I love these stamps, but I am having some trouble
finding more information about them.
Help is always welcomed.

I got a lot of meeting postcards lately!
Two more to add to my growing collection,
the first from Charleroi, Belgium

Left:
Right:

And the second from Lisbon, Portugal

The thing that excited me the most about this card
was the cancellation mark. A special Postcrossing
mark for the meeting!
2018

This nice postcard from Prague, Czech Republic was
sent to me through a project
to write and receive a postcard from a child.
I love this type of projects, where children
are learning about and through the mail.

This postcard was sent to me by a friend from her
vacation in Uelsen, Germany

Postcards!

Let me start with this one from Mexico!
A teacher asked for swaps for his students
and of course I couldn't resist.

This is a view on the church of Arandas

This stamp from 2015
celebrates 125 years of Treaty of the Metre
in Mexico

The next two beauties came from
a fellow postcrosser and (pen-)friend of mine

Isn't this kitty cute?

This one comes from the USA
from a pen-friend I "met" on Sendsomething

Another Sendsomething card, from Canada, Toronto

Year of the Monkey 2016
Designed by Albert Ng and Linna Xu, the stamp is inspired by Sun Wukong, or Monkey King, a central character from the 16th century Chinese novel Journey to the West. It features a stylized portrait of Sun Wukong, whose colourful crown and headband extend beyond the stamp’s upper border. In the lower right corner is the Chinese character hóu, meaning monkey. The character is written in gold, one of the Monkey’s lucky colours.

The Year of the Monkey begins on February 8, 2016, and ends on January 27, 2017. The ninth of 12 animals to appear in the Lunar Calendar, the Monkey is traditionally thought of as all-powerful and God-like, representing honour, luck, riches and longevity.

And last but not least,
this card comes from Turkey, Istanbul
via Postcrossing

Writing Postcards to and receiving postcards from children

This is the last card (so far) I received participating in the project. The card shows traditional clothing from Korea, but is sent from Taiwan.

Writing postcards to and receiving postcards from children

I participated again in a swap with children for educational purposes. This time the card comes from Malaysia, from a child with special needs.

Writing postcards to and receiving postcards from children

Writing postcards to and receiving postcards from Children! Round 2

This round is a bit different from the previous one. This time the children asked the same three questions to everyone, so they can compare the answers when all the cards are received.
On this card you can see traditional puppets used in the puppettheatre in Taiwan.

Writing postcards to and receiving postcards from Children!

This is a project from a Postcrosser from Taiwan. She has 49 children under her care who she wants to encourage to learn English in an original way. So she was looking for a partner for each child to exchange (once) cards with and I accepted to be one of those 'partners'. I received this card from Winnie (16 years old and one of the oldest participants). She writes that it would bring luck if you enter the Pagoda through the dragon and leave through the tiger.
