Postcard party

This card comes from Bosnia and Herzegovina,
it wasn't send to me though, I got it as a souvenir,
isn't the bridge of Mostar pretty?

This card comes from a Postcrossing meeting,
never been to Garfunkels before...

This beauty is an official Postcrossing card,
I am so happy!

And look at the cute stickers!
It made me smile when I noticed the
sender wrote the message in English,
while we are both Dutch speaking. I guess
it is a Postcrossing "disease".

A Chinese official, I was holding it upside down first,
totally confused. When I figured out what was wrong,
I felt so silly.

I love this card from Finland
the fairy looks a bit mischievious though.
Forest mushrooms
set of 5, 2016

And more Postcrossing meeting cards!
This one came with special cancellations
from Malaysia

This card is so pretty! I love receiving
churches from all over the world in my mailbox.
This beauty comes from the Czech Republic
I couldn't find a decent English website about the
church, but I have found some information on
the town Sumperk

This cute cat sticker is on the back

And I got spoiled, the sender included a
magnet from Praded

Although I don't really like ad cards,
I liked finding this one in my mailbox.
It comes from a pen-friend in the UK to show
she was thinking of me.

Great card made for the Postcrossing meeting
in Deventer, the Netherlands

From a (pen-)friend in the Netherlands.
The big circle has a 3D effect

The information I found about this card
was all in German, so I'll keep it simple:
This is the Abbey church Maria, St. Petrus & Paulus
in the abbey Ilbenstadt, Germany

Who doesn't like postcards in the mail

I managed to be sick for 14 days,
the first envelope/card arrived in my
mailbox to cheer me up.
I love how the sweet sender turned the envelope
in a "postcard' too. And not just once, she did
it before too... just look at the second one below!

Isn't this little duck cute? I got spoiled with
an amazing fairy card as well!

I managed to get this card through the
Postcrossing forum, the Studio Ghibli - Wishlist tag.
I just love the Ghibli movies

I also got these two cards, both from postcrossing
meetings! I even got the first card twice, I know so
many kind people!

It is raining postcards!

My friends are spoiling me with cards from
their holiday destinations!
This nice multi-view comes from the Azores

"Extreme Sports" series
Portugal 2016

This is an Instagram swap!
I am far from an Instagram expert,
so I am really happy I managed to do this.
The sender is a fellow Postcrossing member too

Look at all the stamps! And special cancellation!

Another holdiay card from a friend,
this time from Russia

This beauty comes from a postcard pen-friend
who wants to practise her Dutch.
I am ashamed to say, my reply to her is
way overdue.

More postcards!

A silly card I got from a fellow Postcrosser
and friend here in Belgium!

This is an official card I received
through Postcrossing. The sender took this
pic in the Sagrada Familia. It came from
the USA though

I love cats!
This little one arrived in my
mail box from Germany

It is all about postcards

I received more postcards from the USA

OKLAHOMA STATE ROCK
Before dinosaurs werein existence, the sea covered Oklahoma
depositing barium sufate into the sand. As the climate changed,
the sea dried up, and crystals (rose rocks) were
formed. Iron oxide in the sand gave the rocks their reddish
color. These beautiful, rare, rose rock clusters can be viewed at
Timberlake Rose Rock Museum in Noble, Oklahoma.

St. Louis Union Station, once the largest and busiest passenger
rail terminal in the world, is now one of America's great marketplaces.
Union Station first opened in 1894, but ceased operation as an active
train terminal in 1978. Union Station reopened in August
of 1985 as the largest adaptive re-use prject in the US.
Today, this National Historic Landmark of unmatched beauty and
elegance has been dramatically restored and redveloped as
dynamic mixed-use project that includes great shopping,
delicious dining and fabulous entertainment.

This litte beauty came from Japan

I can't remember if I showed these already, so just to be sure...

And last but not least! Mail art from France

back and front from the same card

It has been way too long again

Two reasons why I haven't posted in a while:
1. Our desktop is a pain in the behind,
it is simply too old.
2. I have a job! Finally! And it is taking most
of my energy.

Of course I still send and receive mail! Let me
show you two of the lovely postcards I got in my
mailbox lately.

This postcard comes from Drenthe, the Netherlands

And this very nice card comes from the USA

I would like to promise to do better... but I won't,
I don't know if I can keep that promise.

I got lots of mail art today!

About a week ago I had a mini mail art postcrossing meeting
at my home. One of the ladies who joined me sent me this wonderful card,
which I also signed (I didn't know she was going to send it to me).

Totoro!

More beautiful mail art from a lovely lady
from the Netherlands, who was interested in coming
but couldn't make it. Not a postcrossing member,
but clearly a mail art lover!

The card at the top right is one I should finish
and return to her

She also drew this cute manga style "stamp"

This gorgeous mail art arrived from my
new mail art friend in the USA

To end with, no mail art, but a beautiful card
from China. I love traditional Asian art!

Look at the tapes she used!
