I found more gifts in the mailbox

I got a great gift from one of my best friends earlier this week

If you are familiar with Keri Smith's work, you won't be surprised
when the postcards contain messages or tasks like these:

I received another surprise, from the Netherlands
More stamps! Love them.

Swap-bot cards

On another blog I read about a swap on Swap-bot called
"Not my country postcard swap" I liked the idea, but of course
I couldn't find an open swap. I did stumble on a similar one though
so I participated in "I've never been there postcard swap" .
The idea: send a postcard from a place you never visited.
Today I received the cards from both my partners.

The first card was send from the US and is about the US
The sender lives in Augusta, Georgia and never visited San Francisco

The second card was send from Bulgaria and is about the US
The sender never visited the US.

I can't find information about this stamp
but it is issued in 2012

with pics from her cats and nice gifts

A wonderful teabag bookmark from the UK
I should send one back asap

Opening birthday mail!

Yesterday I was finally allowed to open my birthday mail,
really pretty cards with little gifts!

I also received this card from Laura
with a great view on the Plaza de Cibeles

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Series Gastronomía Española (Spanish Gastronomy)
which is issued through a souvenir sheet, with two stamps which highlight the gastronomic singularities of Cáceres and Vitoria.

Mail art and letter sets

I got these letter sets as a birthday gift from my best friend,
aren't they pretty?!

I felt creative today, so I made this...
What do you think?

Stamps, what else?

I promised to show you some of the stamps I received recently
but because I got so many, it took me a while to figure out which
I wanted to put online first.
Now that I finally made a selection, here they are!

Italy

The view on the stamp is the Terme Tettuccio
from a series about tourism
(1975)

Poland

Flowers on the meadow; protection of the environment
(1973)

Monaco

The stamp on the right shows Princess Grace,
The series of four stamps was printed to celebrate the birth of
Princess Caroline
(1957)
The stamp on the left obviously shows a seahorse
engraved by Albert Decaris
(1960)

Finally mail!

I finally had a happy mailbox again!
All from the Netherlands

These are stamps for my collection

And this is Birthday mail, meaning I am not allowed
to open this till my birthday (March 12).

I also got a letter from a pen-friend, but my cat
decided to help me taking pics, so I had to save my mail
and put it away. *sigh*

Treated myself on snail mail goodies

Since the last few weeks were slow or no mail at all weeks,
I'll share with you some of the things I recently got.

I am a huge Jane Austen fan, so when I saw this box
I couldn't resist!

And of course, some non tourist cards for Postcrossing
are always welcome too.

I got four cards, but obviously two have the same design
