Writing Postcards to and receiving postcards from children

Dit is de laatste kaart (tot nu toe) die ik heb ontvangen met mijn deelname aan het project. De kaart toont traditionele kledij van Korea, maar is opgestuurd vanuit Taiwan.
This is the last card (so far) I received participating in the project. The card shows traditional clothing from Korea, but is sent from Taiwan.

The Temppeliaukio Church is a Lutheran church, which interior was excavated and built into the rock, with natural daylight beeing able to enter through the glazed dome. The acoustic quality is ensured by the rough, virtually unworked rock surfaces. The stone-hewn church is located in the heart of Helsinki and a very popular tourist attraction.


The Helsinki Cathedral is an Evangelical Lutheran cathedral, in neoclassical style. The church was originally built as a tribute to the Grand Duke, Nicholas I, the Tsar of Russia and until the independance of Finland in 1917, it was called St. Nicholas church.


The Uspenski Cathedral is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral, dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos (= the Assumption of Mary). Its name comes from the Old Church Slavonic word "uspenie", which denotes the Dormition.

Arts & crafts and making ATCs

Gisteren en eergisteren ben ik naar Breda geweest, om mijn penvriendin Suzanne te ontmoeten. We hadden dus twee knutsel dagen deze keer! We gingen eerst shoppen, ik heb een hoop nieuw materiaal gekocht, inclusief twee Hello Kitty scrapbook sets, haha. Ik heb vier ATCs gemaakt, een boekenlegger en een wenskaart. Voordat ik terug naar huis ging hebben Suzanne en ik een ATC geruild, dat betekent dat ik nog drie ATCs over heb om te ruilen.

Yesterday and the day before, I went to Breda, to meet with my pen-friend Suzanne. So we had two arts & crafts days this time! First, we went shopping, I bought a lot of new material, including two Hello Kitty scrapbook sets, haha. I made four ATCs, one bookmark and one greeting-card. Before I went home again, Suzanne and I traded an ATC, which means I have three ATCs left to swap.

Ik heb deze schattige Valentijns kaart gekregen van een penvriendin. Ze heeft haar eigen versie gemaakt van mijn favoriete anime/manga figuur, Tomoyo (door CLAMP).
